zest from 1 large navel orange

1/4cuporange juice

1poundsliced strawberries, fresh or frozen
1/4cupDixie Crystals Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
2teaspoonsorange zest
1tablespoonorange juice
Instructions
Orange Buttermilk Pancakes
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar to combine. Add in eggs, vanilla bean paste, zest, buttermilk, and orange juice, and whisk to combine. Let sit for 5 minutes.
Prepare griddle, preferably with shortening. Whisk batter before cooking. Using ladle or measure roughly 3-4 tablespoons batter, pour batter onto griddle and cook pancakes, turning once bubbles form on the top. Serve warm with strawberry sauce
Orange Strawberry Sauce
Combine all ingredients into a small saucepan. Cook on medium low for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. If needed, use potato masher to roughly break apart strawberries.
