Bourbon Peach Sweet Tea

Ingredients
  

  • 8 cups filtered or spring water, divided
  • 2 Luzianne family size iced tea bags, not cold brew
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 cups Dixie Crystals Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
  • 8 ounces Peach Bourbon*
  • Ice
  • garnish with fresh peaches, lemon slices, or mint

Method
 

  1. In medium saucepan, bring 2 cups water just to a boil. Place tea bags and baking soda in a large glass measuring cup that is heat-safe.Pour water over tea bags and let steep for 5-8 minutes. Remove tea bags, letting them drip, but do not squeeze bags to get liquid out.
  2. Pour into large pitcher and stir in sugar. Pour remaining water into pitcher and let cool to room temperature. Add Peach bourbon and stir.
  3. Store in refrigerator up to 3 days. Serve over ice with fresh peaches, lemon slices or mint for garnish.

Notes

*If you do not have peach bourbon available, mix 5 ounces bourbon with 3 ounces peach schnapps.
